Entry Rules and Info

1. Business and home owners within the Woodstock town limits can decorate their property and enter to win in one of the following categories:

Business Categories
- Traditional/Classic
- Whimsical, Colorful, & Fun
- Famous Holiday Movies

Residential Categories
- Traditional/Classic
- Whimsical, Colorful, & Fun
- Famous Holiday Movies

2. Entrants must provide the name of the family or business, address of display, contact phone number, and category in which you are competing to Town staff by calling (540) 459-3621 or emailing Katie Mercer at katie.mercer@townofwoodstockva.gov. Deadline to enter is 8:00 am Tuesday, December 15.

3. Send a photo to the email address above and your display might be used in posts promoting the contest on the Woodstock Enhancement Facebook page. Share Woodstock Enhancement posts on your personal page and encourage your friends to vote! 

4. A list of locations (with addresses) will be shared publicly on the Town of Woodstock website and Woodstock Enhancement Facebook page. The public will have a chance to enjoy each display from their vehicle or the sidewalk and cast a vote for their favorite display in each category from December 15 - 21. 

5. The winners in each of the six categories will be notified on Tuesday, December 21 and photos of each winner will be shared on the Town website and social media accounts.

6. Winners in each category will receive a $50 gift card to the locally owned Woodstock business of their choice and a $50 Woodstock branded merchandise voucher. 

Voting Rules

WHO: Anyone age 7 and older will have a chance to cast a vote for their favorite display in each of the six categories. Please, only one vote per person per category. 

WHEN: December 15 - 21

HOW: Cast your vote in the following ways:

1. Electronically by visiting the “Woodstock’s Deck the Halls Holiday Display Contest” event page via the Woodstock Enhancement Facebook page. 

2. Email Katie Mercer at katie.mercer@townofwoodstockva.gov.

3. Complete a paper ballot which is available from 8 am to 5 pm at the Woodstock Town Office at 135 North Main Street across from the Community Theater.
